This blog was created because we were having triplets, and there are definitely times that I feel that our other 3 older boys have kind of gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to being recognized, on the blog, or anywhere we go in public because they are always overshadowed by the triplets. But believe me that these older brothers definitely can hold their own with the spectacle that is their siblings. Especially today's birthday boy. Ethan.

One of the favorite pastimes in the Hutchings Household...Mario Kart |
He has the ability to scare the living daylights out of the babies, and he can literally beat up his older brothers. He can hold his own in Mario Kart Wii, occasionally beating the master of our household, Cooper. He has a personality that is almost indescribable. I will always remember telling Emily that I thought Ethan was somewhat of a "dud" until he turned about 8-9 months, and since then it has been non-stop! This kid knows how to have fun...too much fun sometimes. He doesn't have multiple speeds, it's all or none. Literally, he is going or he is sleeping (which he can do anywhere when he is tired enough). I honestly cannot believe that it has been a year since we had his last birthday in the hospital where the babies were born, nor can I believe that it has been 5 years since he came to our family. He is also special to us, because he is the only "natural" kid we have had, all of our others have been through IVF or adoption. Happy Birthday, Baby (his nickname from day 1)!
